Specifications

State of the art technology and parts have been used to ensure the car will quickly become competitive and a threat to the established order of Nitro Funny Cars currently running the quarter mile in Europe.

Body

A Carbon Fibre 2000 Chevrolet Camaro replica.

Chassis

Nobby Hills built 125 inch wheelbase chrome moly chassis and featuring the latest US developments.

Engine

500 cu in TFX Aluminium hemi block, (approx 8000 cc)  producing about 6000bhp.

Fuel System

A 30 gallon fuel tank supplies up to 90% nitro methane / 10% methanol to fuel pumps capable of delivering over 60 gallons of fuel a minute @ 7000rpm.

A revolutionary new Nobby Hills built injector system feeds fuel to the engine, consuming about 15 gallons of fuel during the burnout and run.

Transmission

Direct drive (no gears apart from forward and reverse) via a sliding clutch controlled by a NHR CFI Unit*.
The clutch fuel and timing mechanism are a new design and have been specifically built  to meet the demands of Nobby Hills, taking into consideration the demands of the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.
The team believe that after testing has been completed, this new design will enable them to enjoy a competitive advantage over the other European Nitro Funny Cars.
