History
The names Nobby Hills and Houndog have been part of the development of Drag Racing in the UK and across Europe since the early 1960's. No other racer currently competing can claim the experience and longevity that is part of Nobby Hills Racing.
The first car built by Nobby saw action in 1964 with a Jaguar engine recording a best of 109 mph.
As time marched on, various bigger, quicker and faster cars were built by Nobby, all bearing the famous Houndog name.
In 1973, Nobby became the owner of one of the first Funny Cars in Europe, a car imported from the States by the owners of Santa Pod.
For some years, Nobby ran both a Funny Car and a Top Fuel Dragster, really wowing the crowds with top performances, state of the art technology, fantastic preparation and superb showmanship.
As the years went by, further Funny Cars were built and campaigned, with the team claiming the first 5 second run in Europe over a quarter mile in a Funny Car.
