NSRA Supernationals
August 6 - 8th 2004, Old Warden Park, Biggleswade
With NH Racing Webmaster and reporter Chris on holiday in the USA – lucky man! … You’ll have to persevere with the ramblings of myself – NH Racing team designer Darren with the low down on the team’s activities from the fabulous NSRA Custom Car Magazine Super Nationals from Old Warden Park (Biggleswade) over the weekend of August 6th-8th.
Being only a few short miles from the “Dog Pound HQ” this date was a must for the team to show the public and the huge hot rod community the new NH Racing Camaro Fuel Funny Car. As we near the end of our journey to complete the race car in readiness for some serious 1320 action, it’s paramount that we fulfill our obligations to the many great company’s that have helped us along the way.
In this case USAutomotive. Offering a huge range of products for stock, modified, and race orientated American vehicles, USAutomotive are largely renowned as the leading supplier to the industry this side of the Atlantic. At NH Racing we are delighted to be associated with the company and hope that through NH Racing’s drag racing and promotional activities we can reward the company for their support.
Enjoying hot and sunny climes over the weekend the team had the new nitro funny car positioned in a fine spot (albeit dusty) at the front of the large USAutomotive trade area. This gave us a great opportunity to attract interest to the large display of products on offer, and bring the unique style of NH Racing to the huge number of hot rod enthusiasts!
Also representing the drag racing fraternity over the weekend was Neil Townson with the very nice “Northern Spirit” Super Charged Outlaw Altered performing fire-up’s throughout the weekend.
Once again another fantastic weekend for the NH Racing team, the laid-back atmosphere and quality of the hot rods were just awesome, and a thoroughly good time was had by all. Team members present at the show over the weekend were myself, Nobby, Stu Bradbury, Junior and Owen with son Simon.
On behalf on NH Racing we would like to thank the NSRA and Custom Car Magazine for welcoming us to the excellent 04 NSRA Super Nationals. We hope to return next year with some nitro in the tank and give the hot rod community a real ground shaking taste of the NH Racing experience!
